The price corresponds to the shown models on the website plus a service fee of 300 €/piece.

Depending on the season, the delivery time is 15-25 working days from the first fitting.

For your personal custom-made product, visit us in the Hamburg store in the Hafencity. We will first drape your chosen model in cotton on your body. Then we check the look and freedom of movement together with you. After the fitting fits you perfectly, a pattern will be created for your custom-made garment. This will serve as a template for your model and any further production for you. Finally, you choose your desired color from the color charts of our French and German leather suppliers.

All clothing items by Stefan Eckert are produced exclusively in Hamburg in-house. The small leather goods are also made in Germany by a manufactory partner.

The majority of the leather comes from France and Germany.
These are exclusively by-products or waste products of the food industry. These include lamb, deer, moose, ostrich and python.

Vegan leather “is in itself a misleading term. The materials may be optically leather-like, but are not comparable in terms of quality and durability with real leather. The limited in shelf life “vegan leather” is – like most textiles – eventually become a waste product.

The process operated by Stefan Eckert is a recycling of natural materials in the best sense of the word – waste products of the food industry are artfully processed and transformed into a lifelong-lasting product of the fashion industry. In the best case, a leather jacket can even be passed on to the next generation.

Since the foundation of his eponymous label in 2009, Stefan Eckert has practiced a sustainable corporate form.

His vision of sustainability for the Hamburg fashion entrepreneur consists of two pillars – the responsibility towards man and nature.

 

People:

Stefan Eckert rejects the production, both of its designs and used materials, in low-wage countries. This is mainly due to the not always comprehensible working conditions. The certainty about it is essential for Stefan Eckert. Therefore, the fashion entrepreneur only produces with his own staff in Hamburg, which he himself partially introduces in the context of a 3-year training in the fine art of tailoring.

 

Nature:

1. Animals

Stefan Eckert is deeply convinced that he only uses leather from animals, which is a byproduct of the food industry. These include lamb, deer, moose, ostrich and python.

The use of animals bred or hunted for your skin is rejected by Stefan Eckert.

2. Waste reduction

Leather is still the most sustainable product in the fashion market, as high quality parts can last a lifetime. This is the basis for minimizing waste production for the planet, which is one of the most important environmental factors.

3. Tanning of the leather

The tanning of the leather used today is already partly based on plants, so that environmentally harmful by-products could be reduced to a minimum during production.
