Sustainability in the Production of the Collection Pieces
Stefan Eckert rejects production in low-wage countries. This step is primarily due to the not always transparent working conditions. The certainty of this is essential for the fashion designer. All collection pieces by Stefan Eckert are exclusively made in his in-house studio in Hamburg. All work steps are carried out by Stefan Eckert's qualified specialist staff. In addition, the fashion designer trains new members of his studio team in a three-year apprenticeship as a tailor.
No Animal Cruelty for Leather at Stefan Eckert
Stefan Eckert's principle is that no animal dies for the production of his leather. Therefore, the designer exclusively uses leather that is a by-product of the food industry, out of deep conviction. Thus, the leather used by Stefan Eckert is exclusively artfully processed recycled material.
Selection of Suppliers
Stefan Eckert works with a network of sustainably oriented suppliers for the procurement of his materials, accessories, and packaging. The selection of his business partners is based on specific criteria. For example, the reduction of unnecessarily long transport routes is a very central point. This makes an important contribution to environmental protection. In addition to the proximity of the suppliers to the Hamburg location, the high quality standard of the goods and their sustainable production methods are further factors. Accordingly, Stefan Eckert constantly monitors current market developments and is in continuous contact with his suppliers regarding new innovative products.
Durable and High-Quality Products
To preserve the planet, waste production must be urgently reduced. The fashion industry can make a significant contribution to this. Stefan Eckert implements this approach with his leather jackets, whose durability is designed for a lifetime. With his modern classics, the designer thus offers an option for conscious and sustainable consumption.
